Eggshell temperature measured at several positions, so embryos stay at the optimal temperature for a uniform hatch.
NiniX Technologies developed and produces a multi-point temperature sensor for incubators. The sensor continuously measures the exact eggshell temperature at several positions in the machine. The climate computer uses these measurements to adjust the air temperature automatically, so the core of the embryos stays at the biologically optimal temperature for a maximum and uniform hatch rate.
The temperature that matters in an incubator is the temperature of the embryo, not of the air around it. That temperature can vary from position to position in the machine. To control it accurately, the climate computer needs reliable eggshell temperatures from several points at the same time.
The sensors work inside the incubator for long periods, in an extremely humid and corrosive environment. Under these conditions, unprotected electronics corrode, drift or fail.
The sensor measures the eggshell temperature continuously and in real time at several positions in the incubator.
The climate computer uses these measurements to adjust the air temperature, keeping the embryos at the optimal temperature.
The electronics protection ensures that the sensors keep working reliably over the long term in the humid, corrosive atmosphere of the incubator. NiniX handles both the development and the series production of the sensor.
Because the climate is controlled on the actual temperature of the eggs, the embryos develop at the biologically optimal temperature throughout incubation. This supports a maximum and uniform hatch rate, with sensors that remain reliable in continuous operation.
