Electronics protection for automotive and mobility
Electronics in vehicles and mobility infrastructure have to keep working for many years under water, moisture, dust, vibration and changing temperatures. NiniX Technologies protects these electronics for its customers with cured-in-place gaskets (CIPG), potting, sealing, bonding and assembly. All work is carried out in-house, from the first samples to series production.
Electronics that cannot fail
Automotive electronics are expected to function for a long time, often 15 years or more, while exposed to high-pressure water, steam cleaning, condensation, dust, vibration and temperature changes. In mobility infrastructure such as traffic cameras and charging stations, the electronics also face rain, sun and frost every day. A single point where moisture or dirt can enter is enough to cause corrosion, leakage currents or a short circuit.
Applications
NiniX applies its protection technologies to a wide range of automotive and mobility components.
Automotive connectors
Cured-in-place gaskets applied directly on the assembly line give connectors a perfectly fitting seal against moisture and dirt. Potting fully encapsulates the electronics in connectors, protecting them against high-pressure water and steam cleaning.
EV charging housings
Sealing the housing protects the high-voltage components against weather and moisture, which is essential for electrical safety and to prevent short circuits.
GPS displays
Bonding the display into its housing creates a durable, vibration-resistant and waterproof connection, so the screen keeps working in all conditions, including outdoors.
Vehicle data cameras
Assembly and sealing of data cameras that transmit high-resolution video from vehicle cameras to ADAS computers for surround view and autonomous driving, without interference.
Traffic cameras
Bonding and sealing the glass windows hermetically protects the optical and thermal sensors against weather, moisture and dirt, while keeping light and heat transmission free of condensation for accurate AI traffic detection.
Optical connectors
Sealing hermetically encloses the micro-optical components and laser and photodiode electronics against fine dust, condensation, temperature changes and pulling forces that could disturb the optical alignment.
Reliable over the full service life
The protected components stay sealed against water, moisture and dust, keep their connections under vibration, and continue to function in all weather conditions. Because NiniX combines process development, protection technologies and series production in-house, customers can move quickly from samples to stable volume production.
