Industry 4.0 principles built into every machine
NiniX Technologies applied Industry 4.0 principles in its machines long before the term became common. Connected, data-driven machines significantly improve the efficiency of automated production equipment, without requiring large investments.
Our approach is based on three steps: secure remote access to the machine, complete traceability of production data, and analysis of that data to continuously optimise the process.
1. Remote access
Secure, via standards such as OPC UA
2. Data and traceability
SQL database on your own network
3. Analysis and optimisation
Closed loop based on real production data
Execution
Integral part of every machine design
Industry 4.0 at NiniX: remote access, full traceability and data-driven optimisation in one closed loop.
Remote access
All machine controllers are made securely accessible from a distance, using modern, fast and secure communication standards such as OPC UA. This offers three direct benefits:
- Maintenance: software improvements can be implemented without a technician travelling to the machine.
- Remote assistance: in case of a service call, our engineers or your own service technicians can connect to the machine immediately, from any location.
- Monitoring: standstills, failures and productivity losses can be analysed in real time.
Data and traceability
We implement full traceability of all production data, including:
- Measurements and test results
- Cycle times
- Batch information
- OEE data
This data is stored in an SQL database on your own network, so it remains available and under your control.
Analysis and optimisation
By analysing the collected production data, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities become visible. The resulting optimisations are then implemented through the same remote access described in step 1.
This creates a closed loop in which the machine is continuously improved based on real production data.
What Industry 4.0 delivers in practice
- Less downtimeFaster diagnosis and support via remote access
- Lower service costsSoftware updates without on-site interventions
- Full traceabilityAll production data available in one database
- Continuous improvementProcess optimisation based on real data
Industry 4.0 at NiniX is not an add-on, but an integral part of how we design and build machines.
Frequently asked questions
How does NiniX apply Industry 4.0 in machine building?
NiniX applies Industry 4.0 in three steps: secure remote access to machine controllers, full traceability of production data in an SQL database, and analysis of that data to optimise processes.
Is remote access to a machine secure?
Remote access is set up using modern, secure communication standards, so that machine controllers can only be reached through protected connections.
Which production data can be stored?
Measurements, test results, cycle times, batch information and OEE data can be stored in an SQL database on the customer's own network.
Does Industry 4.0 require a large investment?
No. By integrating Industry 4.0 principles into the machine design from the start, efficiency gains can be achieved without large additional investments.
Why choose NiniX for Industry 4.0?
NiniX combines machine building, PLC programming and data acquisition within one organisation. This allows us to integrate connectivity, traceability and data analysis directly into the machine design, rather than adding them afterwards.
